Success for Solutionpath at the UK IT Awards!

On Wednesday 16 November, comedian Josh Widdicombe announced the winners of the UK IT Industry Awards on behalf of BCS and Computing UK at a glittering dinner at Battersea Park Events Arena. And the team at Solutionpath were humbled to have been recognised as winners of the Small Supplier or VAR of the Year for 2016!


The award, which recognises the efforts of small technology companies who have experienced significant business growth and success during the previous year, is presented to those that demonstrate high levels of customer satisfaction and business benefits through the delivery of IT services.

Part of the DTP group of businesses, Solutionpath is the company behind StREAM, the award-winning learning and predictive analytics solution. Designed to help Universities improve student outcomes and engagement, the solution was developed in sector to provide institutions with the tools to increase student retention, protect revenues, improve attainment and enrich the student experience.

Solutionpath Co-Founder and Chief Technologist Richard Gascoigne comments “To be nominated as a finalist was in itself a fantastic achievement as the shortlist included extremely strong competition. And so to go on and win the award is outstanding news. The team have worked tirelessly over the last few years to develop our valued learning and predictive analytics solution and build the successful business we have today and so recognition at the most notable awards in the industry is superb.”

Run by the BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT and Computing, the awards are a platform for the IT profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence. In total, 25 awards were presented covering project, organisational, technology, and personal excellence. The categories were open to organisations and individuals involved in IT across the public, not for profit and commercial sectors.
Amongst the winners were well known brands such as BT, Rentokil Initial, IBM, National Grid and Specsavers.

The standard of applications we received this year were very high, but the winners stood out as exceptional and inspiring, and should be very proud of their success.”
